Goa’s first Heritage Hotel – 130 years old – & part of the ITC WelcomGroup – spells a unique old world charm and has been popular with foreign travellers since decades. However, most reservations came through tele-calls and OTAs such as and before we stepped in.




Our challenge, and at the same time our opportunity was to translate the unique aura of Panjim Inn’s heritage hospitality into an equally breathtaking website, that did justice to the experience of the Hotel itself and setup a customized online booking engine

Web Architecture that was easy to explore

With 3 hotels under the Panjim Inn unbrella, along with Serviced Apartments & an Art Gallery to display on one single website, the first and foremost challenge was to put together an Intelligent Website Architecture & Navigation Structure that systematically allowed for quality U/I & U/X (User Interface & User Experience). After all, we would not want to overwhelm a user with too much information.

We used unconventional Navigation titles to reflect the different possibilities offered by the Hotel: Stay, Leisure, Convene, Explore & Reserve.

Design & Content that reflected the Hotel’s Character

With the weight of being a heritage property, Panjim Inn already associated itself with opulence and elegance at the same time. We decided that the messaging, from design to content to U/I should truly reflect its old world charm. Given that hospitality as a service thrives itself on immaculate customer experiences, we wanted to design a website that wasn’t just seamless but hospitable too.

Hospitable technology tools for a hospitable hotel

We designed a responsive website that catered to all devices and services from a Desktop, to an regular iPad, to an Android Tablet, to an iPad mini, to a Android & iOS phone, thus responding to the needs of all types of guests. Right from checking for Room Availability, to Booking the Accomodation, to the checkout process we carried the responsive experience through and through not just through functionality, but design as well. We paid special attention to the layout of content and images so that a user could get a whiff of the Hotel’s offerings with a quick 30 second glimpse of the website.

With the minutest attention to detail, we tried to weave the intricate nuances of the property into a web world, enticing our users to come experience luxury and old world opulence for themselves.
